According to the Microsoft Security Response Center the updates to Office for Mac that were made available for download yesterday were posted by mistake.
It is recommend that anyone who may have installed these pre-release updates to uninstall them – although it does appear how you actually do that? I did not actually do the update so I have no more information on it I am afraid – but do feel free to contribute by sending comments.
