Almost everyone, except Apple, has confirmed the release date of the iPhone 5. It’s looking like that date will be October 14th. AppleInsider has reported the news, by way of an update on the japanese website, Macotakara. The news coincides with previous reports, which were listing October 15th as a release date.
Nothing official has been announced as of yet, which means Apple has two weeks to let the world know if October 14th is the release date. There is an Apple event coming up on October 4th, when many believe Tim Cook will be making the announcement.
Earlier in the summer, the iOS 5 operating system was unveiled. AppleInsider also reported that the OS is expected to be provided to the handset manufacturers in the beginning of October.
