You can get the update via iTunes – just connect your iPod and click “iTunes > Check for Updates” – if you have the latest version of iTunes you will get a message that you have the latest version – but once you click “OK” you will be prompted that a new version is available for your iPod – just follow the instructions to update.
This update claims to fix some bugs – and the iPod does seem a bit more responsive after applying this update.
